How about a Monk with Shield of Judgement? Cast Shield of judgement on your warrior tank when Shiro uses IO, will that help?

Well, I just hench this mission with my dervish, and killed Shiro easily (~2 minute). I brought a SV necro, a ranger (just for damage dealing) and a protection monk (packed with Life Barrier and Life Bond) and 4 other henchies.
Before pulling/fighting/tanking Shiro, I flagged the henchies behind the gate (to prevent them from hitting Shiro so that he wont teleport to them), and made the monk hero bonds me with Life Barrier and Life Bond. I have my SV necro to take Shiro's hp down very fast (The Illusion hench will cast empalthy eventually). With lots of enchantments from myself and monks, Pious Assault deals good damage to Shiro when he's at low hp, but becareful dont disenchant the bonds.
1st try failed, I accidently disenchanted the bonds.
Killed Shiro after taking 42 hits from him

This mission is like THK I think. Some people find it easy, and some find it hard. Just did this mission for the first time and got master reward. It was me, 2 alliance and the rest heroes. Wild Blow FTW. Not a single death, not even heroes.
Then went on to kill Abbadon first time as well. He was so much harder than Shiro.

Ranger masters, with half-PUG
Rangers aren't wanted in this mission. So you'll start your own most of the time. Start by recruiting some other unwanted class, like mesmer. They'll be happy to join.
Players:
R/P: barrage, concussion, savage, GftE, Stand your group, gaze, sunspear rez sig, ...
Anti-melee mesmer
Stance tank warrior, WB included
Nuker/warder (a. melee, a. foes, 8-10 earth, 16 fire, rest e-storage)
D/W: something with avatar
With no monks available, 2 prot heroes + Mhenlo. Mhenlo is a great healer, and squishies take 1 hero each. This is the most important thing. If one person brings both heros, you get in trouble since they bunch up. Aegis, guardian, prot spirit, one LoD, one Life sheath, dwayna's, orison. Don't really need more skills. Mhenlo is the only real healer.
First part is easy, as ranger you can pull. Wards + perma aegis will give you almost constant 75% miss rate for melee. As ranger, you can shut down casters and monks. Stance tank is self-sufficient for most part.
Last part, kill lich, cap the shrines, then run back down to the center. As always, if squishies get attacked by shiro, start running. Since heroes are split between two members, at least two of them will always be healing.
2 human monks would suffice, and extra spot would be good for anything. No necro this time, only empathy, but more than enough protection to kite shiro permanently. No deaths, random players, masters in first try.

Hmmm, if I'm not wrong Shiro cannot be knocked down. You can try it and update the forum though.

Wooot. just finished the game.
went with 2 guild members and this mission was a doddle.
We capped the shrines and then bashed his face in. I don't think anyoine even came close to dying.
So yeah "I" found it stupidly easy.

I think this mission is fun, once you know what your up against its a good challenge.
Just went through the game with my necro.
Did this mission set up as a SS and koss with wild blow, got talkhora to put life bond and life barrier on him and just let koss and devona tank him.
Soon as he got in to impossible odds time i put SS on him koss would wild blow he would recast ... you get the idea.
Soon as his health got really low put SS on him again and flagged the hench to stand by him so when he did IO he got hit for a lot and dropped.
Was easier this time then when i did it with my warrior as i knew how he would fight.
Abaddon was a pain in the arse, but then i just put karis healing circle on my necro and just kept healing everyone and nobody died lol.. such a good skill for that mission.

I'll help you, if you havn't finished it yet.
when i did it, i used both hench monks, a hero monk, Olias as 16 blood SV necro, and the rest are optional (i used a hero ele and both hench eles personally) i was a warrior (you NEED a wild blow warrior, almost vital, as soon a you see IO + Battle Scars you're buggered, unless you have wild blow, if you don't have it, take a warrior instead of a hero ele, and give him WB but disable it, and when you have Shiro targeted, click WB every time he uses Battle Scars) set the 3 hero flags, one in each corner of the 'middle' part, henchmen in the middle of that square bit, and fight him yourself in the remaining corner (if you can hold most of his aggro yourself, the monks can heal you easily enough.)
The entire problem is not impossible odds, but battle scars AND impossible odds together, without Battle Scars he cannot heal or do much damage.

This is NOT fun at all. That's it. Won't be leaving, but I won't be recommending NF to my friends that don't have it. Thanx ANET for taking the joy out of my favorite game.
Flame away here:

I just beat him using Lordhelmos suggested hero mix and it was fairly easy. Prior to that run, I had died 8 or 9 times using various SS/SV, MM/etc builds. Either I had problems getting to shiro or always died at shiro with his IO/Scars combo.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10081126
The thread details the hero build using General Morgan and an energy battery, Jin as crit buff/interrupter and Tahlkora or Dunkoro as RC protection. This combination worked very very well, I did this on my Dervish with Devona and Illusion hench with Healer hench. Same setup was easy to use on Abaddon.
[edit] Forgot to mention, I took wild blow to knock out Shiro from Scar stance as well as using the usual flag heroes in 3 corner spots of the main squrare.

My 10 cents
Well - like many people here I had huge problems killing Shiro. Most of it lay around placement issues, with too many henchmen too close to Shiro IO would send henchmen running (meaning they weren't healing) and resulted in fairly quick wipes. The way I got through it;
Me (Wa/Ne) using {wild blow, riposte, deadly riposte, elite: spoil victor}
Dunkoro (Mo/Me) using {Aegis, elite: shield of judgement}
Master of Whispers (Ne/Mo) using {elite: spiteful spirit}
Olias (Ne/Me) using {elite: spoil victor}
henchmen:
2 x Monk, Fire Ele, Dervish
I will admit here I maybe overkilled on the SS and SV taken - this was to counter the fact that these only last approx 4 seconds on Shiro (instead of 25 seconds). With the 2 healers in the group damage dealt to tank and dervish is easily healable - especially if Aegis is kept up as much as possible.
Last piece of advice I can offer is this; after taking out the Liche and clearing the 5 shrines run back out up the stairs. Place ALL of your henchmen and heroes about 2 seconds walk outside of the doorway then pull Shiro up and try and block him just outside the doorway. Having the henchmen outside the temple seems to stop him shadow-stepping to them and wreaking havoc...
Apologies if this is a naff drawing but my art skills suck;

as usual, something works and the PvP players bitch about it and then WHAM!!!!! a nerf bat to the head.....
Aria of Zeal: Increased casting time to 2 seconds.
Cyclone Axe: Modified so that it now requires an enemy target.
Energizing Finale: Increased the Energy cost to 10 and reduced the amount of energy gained per shout or chant to 1.
"Incoming!": Increased Energy cost to 10 and decreased duration to 1..5 seconds.
Jagged Bones: Modified so that it may now be used on allied minions.
Restful Breeze: Modified so that its behavior more accurately matches its description.
"Stand Your Ground!": Increased energy cost to 10.
"Watch Yourself!": Changed armor gain to 5..25, based on the Tactics attribute.

Thanks to Mister O for the idea of using life barrier+life bond. It was too easy... Since I didn't have any of the necros and Norgu was lvl18 I decided to use Zhed with empathy and ww since I needed few interrupts anyway.
Lol, I had disabled ww on Zhed... so he was just using empathy and all the damage came from the ripostes... still didn't take long to kill him.

Finally got this done tonight with a great PUG, and we went on to take the last mission. Now I can die (actually, now I can load up NWN 2 that I bought a couple of weeks ago, and kick back for awhile).
